Arsene Wenger set to return to the dugout

Arsene Wenger is set to return to the football dugout for the first time since leaving Arsenal in 2018.

Wenger has been working as FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development and will be in the dugout for a Saudi Arabian super team in a friendly against French giants Paris Saint-Germain according to reports from the Mirror.

The friendly match is set to take place in January 2022, with the Saudi team having players picked from Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr with PSG expected to line up their superstars including Lionel Messi in the Riyadh Season Cup.

Wenger has been in charge of FIFA's global football development since November 2019 and is currently under scrutiny after suggesting that the World Cup should be held after two years. A section of coaches and players have blamed the Frenchman for not putting the player's interests in such a suggestion as they are likely to suffer from fatigue.
