Premier League giants Liverpool will go head to head with FC Barcelona for the services of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
Kessi is yet to sign a new deal with Milan despite his contract expiring next season and there is the belief that a chunk of teams in Europe will be fighting for his services when he is free in the summer.
El Nacional reports that the Reds are preparing an offer for the Ivory Coast international but will have to fight Barca for the player. While the Catalans are ready to offer a €15m signing bonus, Liverpool would splash €30m to rope in the 24-year-old midfielder.
Kessie was part of the Milan team that lost to Liverpool last month and it is said that his performance at the center of the pitch grabbed the attention of the Anfield crowd who are keen on seeing the club add another player after a cold summer.
Liverpool has failed to find a replacement for midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum who left the club on a free to PSG last summer.
