Klopp not happy with his players despite Southampton win

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wasn't happy with his players despite their emphatic win over Southampton on Saturday.

The Reds put four unanswered goals past their visitors but Klopp wasn't impressed with how they gave their opponents a lot of chances.

“Talking about stability, I was not happy with the chances we conceded today, to be honest. I have no problem that (keeper) Ali has to make saves in a football game but these saves were too spectacular. One-on-one with the goalie should not happen twice in a game, for sure not.

“We have to really work on that. We have to be as stable, serious, ruthless defensively as possible. That then gives us the platform to play football, create and score. It will not be forever that we score two goals per game. It happened so far, so, good. But if we win a game 1-0 then I'm happy as well," Klopp said.

With Chelsea being held by Man United, Liverpool did themselves a huge favor win the win with the team now placed third on 28 points; just two points behind leaders Chelsea.
