🧠 Things we learned in the EPL this weekend, featuring Thiago Silva & Divock Origi

Another weekend of shocks and milestones has passed us by. Here are nine of the best factoids emerging from game week 15.

West Ham 3-2 Chelsea

At 37 years and 73 days, Thiago Silva became Chelsea's oldest Premier League scorer, breaking Didier Drogba’s record from April 2015 against Leicester City, aged 37 years and 49 days.

Newcastle 1-0 Burnley

Five of Callum Wilson’s six Premier League goals this season have been at St James’ Park, as many as he scored there in 2020-21.

Southampton 1-1 Brighton

Half of Brighton’s eight away Premier League goals this season have been scored in the 89th minute or later, with three coming in the 90th minute and three from Neal Maupay.

Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

Divock Origi’s goal was Liverpool’s 39th winner scored in the 90th minute or later in the Premier League, at least 13 more than any other side

Watford 1-3 Man City

After just 14 matches Bernardo Silva has seven goals, equalling his best return in a Premier League season (2018-19).

Leeds 2-2 Brentford

Leeds have scored three Premier League goals in the 90th minute or later this season, all either equalisers (v Wolves and Brentford) or winners (v Crystal Palace). No side has scored more 90th-minute goals in this season's competition.

Man United 1-0 Crystal Palace

Man United’s Ralf Rangnick became the sixth German to manage in the Premier League and the first from the country to win his first match as a manager in the competition. Felix Magath, Jurgen Klopp, Jan Siewert, Daniel Farke and Thomas Tuchel all failed to do so before him.

Tottenham 3-0 Norwich

Son Heung-min scored and assisted in a Premier League match for the 19th time. Since 2015-16, only Mohamed Salah (22) has done so more often in the competition.

Aston Villa 2-1 Leicester

In his 216th professional appearance in all competitions, Ezri Konsa scored twice in a match for the first time. In doing so, he was the first defender to score a brace for Aston Villa in a Premier League match since Ciaran Clark against Arsenal in November 2010.

The game week is completed tonight with Everton hosting Arsenal at Goodison Park.
