Burnley striker Chris Wood is on the verge of joining Premier League rivals Newcastle United have agreed on personal terms.
There were reports on Monday that Burnley had agreed to sell the player for £20m by The Athletic and The Telegraph with the Magpies paying Wood’s release clause.
Wood will become the club's second signing of the window after the arrival of Kieran Trippier from Atlético Madrid for around £12m with the New Zealand international arriving to replace Callum Wilson who will be out for two months.

Newcastle could also sign another striker this winter if they find a good opportunity/talent.
The 30-year-old forward will travel to the northeast overnight to have a medical before signing on a contract thought to be for two-and-a-half years.
Wood already has three goals from the 17 appearances he has managed for the Sean Dyche side this season and will be hoping to drag his new side out of the relegation dogfight.
