Cristiano Ronaldo on what Ralf Rangnick needs

Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo says the club’s interim boss Ralf Rangnick requires time to set out his ideas at Old Trafford.

There is a sense among Man United fans that Rangnick has failed to convince them he is the right man for the job. But really, this all screams ridiculous impatience.

So far, the German manager has delivered four wins from seven matches and has just three goals conceded.

Ronaldo believes the former RB Leipzig boss needs extended time to implement his capacity.

"Since he arrived five weeks ago he changed many things," said Ronaldo to Sky Sports.

"But he needs time to put his ideas across to the players.

"It takes time but I believe that he is going to do a good job. We know we aren't playing the best football but we have many games to improve.

"Since he arrived I think in some points we are better, but he needs time. It's not that easy to change the mentality of players and the way they play, the culture, the system like that. I believe that he is going to do a good job,” he added.

Coming up next for Rangnick’s side is the trip to Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa this weekend.
