Argentine winger Angel Di Maria has contacted Barcelona despite strong interest from Serie A giants Juventus.
Di Maria will be leaving Paris Saint Germain in the summer with reports rife that he had verbally agreed to join Juve on a two-year deal but things might change in the coming weeks as SPORT reports that the player's dream is to return to Spain.
The reports say that Di Maria has offered himself to Barcelona despite having featured for their arch-rivals Real Madrid in the past and wants a year-long contract so he can arrive at the World Cup in Qatar in good condition and then sign for Rosario Central in 2023. A situation Barcelona would like to give he could arrive at a low cost.
The player feels he hasnt been given enough playing time in France and wants a team that would guarantee him a starting place ahead of the World Cup later in the year.
Barcelona are in the market for a winger as they are set to lose Ousmane Dembele who is yet to sign a new deal with reports stating that the team will go for Di Maria if they cant get Raphinha who will attract a substantial transfer fee from Leeds United.
