A 7-0 win at Tranmere Rovers has ensured Tottenham Hotspur progress to the next round of FA Cup tournament.
A hat-trick from Fernando Llorente, an Aurier's brace and single goals from Son and Harry Kane were enough to make sure the London club advances at the expense of the League Two side.
Scot Davies, Tranmere goalkeeper denied Heung-Min Son a very open early minutes chance as he blocked the ball with his feet as Spurs winger thought he had beaten him and score. Steven McNulty lost the ball and Fernando Llorente picked it before setting Son through on goal in the 8th minute.
Son and Lucas Moura combined well before the later fed the former with some good pass but Davies was up to the challenge as he made another save to keep the score level at the moment.
The referee would have actually awarded Spurs a penalty in the 18th minute as McNulty, as replays showed, pulled Llorente’s shirt inside the box but the referee waved play on at the expense of faint calls for a penalty from the visiting side.
Gazzaniga dealt with the hosts first real chance when Aurier has beaten aerially Emmanuel Monthe but the shot went straight to stretched hands of the Spurs-Argentinian goalkeeper. Aurier fired the Premier League side ahead five minutes before the break with a sumptuous 25-yard shot that beat everyone to hit the right top corner.
It took another combination from Son, Aurier and Llorente to pull another goal for Spurs early in the second half. Son received the pass from Aurier before beating his marker and teeing up Llorente who was standing just in front of Tranmere goal. The striker just stretched his foot to meet the ball and score.
Son set up Aurier again for the Ivorian to grab his brace ten minutes after the break. And Son himself got his deserved goal two minutes later after literally walking past down the left flank before slotting home from some tight corner. Llorente scored his brace and fifth goal for Spurs in the 71st minute before getting on a hat-trick a minute later both goals coming after some good ball control.

Kane was introduced and did not take long before adding the 7th goal from Alli's assist in the 83rd minute.
- This is the first meeting between Tranmere and Tottenham in any competition since the 2001-02 season - Tottenham won 4-0 at Prenton Park in the League Cup third round, and 4-0 at White Hart Lane in the FA Cup fifth round.
- Tottenham is unbeaten against Tranmere in eight previous meetings in all competitions (W6 D2), knocking them out of the FA Cup in 1952-53 (9-1 in a replay) and 2001-02 (4-0).
Dream gone south
Tranmere boss Micky Mellon before the match said: "It's a fantastic opportunity for the club to go and announce to the footballing world that it is still here. As everybody knows, we've had some tough times, so it's important we go out there and take part in a fantastic occasion, so we'll go and do that the best way we can. It's a massive game for us and a big, big ask, but we're going to go out there and give it everything we've got and try to represent the club, as we always do, properly."
