Nigerian Super Eagles' striker Junior Lokosa has reportedly arrived in Tunisia ahead of transfer talks with current African champions Esperance de Tunis.
Lokosa is said to have arrived on Saturday, January 12 in hopes of having a positive outcome from the ongoing negotiations.
If negotiations are said to be fruitful, the striker stands a chance to pen a contract with immediate effect from January 2019 without him undergoing trials, according to the agent Mahmoud Ouaddenį.
The 25-year-old previously tried his luck with PFC Ludogorets Razgrad (Bulgaria), SK Brann (Norway) and Heilongjiang Lava Spring FC (China) but nothing came out of it.
The Kano Pillars frontman was named in Nigeria's 30-man provisional World Cup roster and made his international debut against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in May 2018.
During the 2017/18 season, Lokosa scored an impressive 19 goals in 23 matches to finish as the top scorer in the Nigerian Professional Football League.
