Nsiimbe resigns at maroons, heading to Tanzania

George ‘Best’ Nsiimbe has resigned as head coach of Maroons Football Club, Futaa can confirm.

The coach joined the Uganda Prisons-sponsored side at the beginning of the season but has struggled to get the results.

The club has accepted his resignation and explained that the coach has requested to go and further his coaching education in Tanzania.

“It is true that The coach, George Best Nsiimbe, has officially resigned as our head coach,” their PRO Patrick Lukoya revealed. “The coach is going for further training in Tanzania for a period of two months.”

Under his tenure, Maroons have collected fifteen points from as many games on top of bowing out of the Uganda Cup.

Before joining the prison warders, Nsiimbe worked as a technical director of Express FC where he took over after parting ways with Tusker FC in Kenya.

He has also worked with Tanzanian giants Azam FC.
