MFM FC forward Michael Ohanu has expressed his desire to score goals for his new club adding that he wishes to emulate his 2016/17 season streak as top goalscorer.
Ohanu joined MFM from El Kanemi Warriors having played for Kwara United where he was the top goalscorer of the abovementioned season that helped the team gain promotion to topflight football.
However, despite having gained much success, Ohanu has been unable to replicate his scoring prowess since joining the Lagos based team at the start of the season.
In an interview with Football Live, Ohanu said he is bothered about the situation but he is working hard to put an end to the drought
“I am bothered that I haven’t scored for MFM FC but I am working hard every day in training to make sure that it changes. It is a new club and I am trying to blend in with the team but I’m sure with time the goals will come."
"The coaches are really helping me in training and they keep telling me that the goals will come and I trust them and in my abilities so I will keep working with the team to ensure that the goals come."
MFM FC will travel to Remo Stars in a midweek fixture and will be hoping to get their first points away from home having lost twice on the road to Enyimba in their first match of the season and Rivers United.
