Isaac Isinde is the most valuable player at Kirinya Jinja SSS FC so far this season, the club announced.
The veteran defender beat close competition from youngster Joel Madondo to win the award.
Isinde, who joined the club on a short contract at the beginning of the season has been a key figure at the club dominated by young faces.
“Isinde is one good example of how hard work, discipline and dedication can work for a sportsman or woman. I want to encourage all of you to work hard like him,” Mrs Janet Kyemba, the club’s vice chairperson board of governors said during the awards.
Muganga best of January
During the short ceremony, Douglas Muganga was named the best player of the month of January.
“Muganga, a versatile player, ably fitted in the central midfield from his usual centre back as the team struggled to cope with injuries and suspensions of key midfielders Akol Godfrey, Kasonko George and Nelson Mandela,” the club revealed the arguement behind the award.
