Onduparaka came from a goal down to win all the three points away to Mbarara City at the Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara.
Central defender Hillary Mukundane opened the scores as early as the 20th minute with a fine header off a Paul Mucureezi’s delivery but the caterpillars staged a comeback to win the game.
Onduparaka captain Rashid Toha pulled the visitors level nine minutes into the second half with an equally fine header.
Veteran striker, Ceasar Okhuti, fired in a beauty with 13 minutes remaining on the clock to give the visitors the victory.
It was the second time the West Nile side faced their former coach Livingstone Mbabazi after parting ways last season.
The two had played to a goalless draw in Arua in the first round in December.
The win lifts the Caterpillars two places to 5th place on the table with 30 points. Mbarara, who just lost their first game at home this season, remain third with 36 points, eight behind pace setters, KCCA FC.
