Returning Ssimbwa shuns media in retaliation after URA’s win over Kirinya

Sam Ssimbwa got one back at the waiting media after his URA FC team beat AKirinya Jinja SSS 2-0 at the Mandela national stadium in Namboole on Thursday as he made them wait for over ten minutes then refused to speak to them.

The outspoken coach was returning from a four-match ban slapped on him for his irresponsible comments that he made in URA reverse fixture against Kirinya in Jinja.

The coach, who initially looked like he was carrying out his post-match analysis kept glancing at the waiting media who had long finished interviewing the opponent’s coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko.

The coach then stood up from his seat, turned to them with a sardonic smile before marching away.

He was heard telling the unsurprised pressmen: “You are the ones who made me to be banned by sending your videos and audios [to FUFA], now look for another person to talk to because I will not be speaking to you anymore.”

The club Public Relations Officer saved the situation by convincing the assistant coach George Lutalo to speak.

Team skipper Shafic Kagimu scored both goals in either halves.
