Sensational Zanaco have returned to the summit of the MTN/FAZ Super League Stream A following their 2-1 over Kitwe on Sunday afternoon.
Zanaco went into the match looking to take advantage of Kabwe Warriors draw with Zesco United as they had a chance to open a one point lead at the summit with a win.
The bankers were hoping to complete a double over the Buchi and started strong but had to wait until the 37th minute to take the lead, Taonga Bwembya breaking the deadlock with his first goal in over two years.
The lead was short-lived as four minutes later Kiala Lassa leveled matters. The match went to the break level at one all.
Zanaco came back strong in the second half and restored their lead just a minute into the second stanza, Enerst Mbewe with the goal. Kitwe United tried to push for an equaliser but Zanaco held on to win the match 2-1 to open a one point lead at the summit of Stream A.
