MFM FC coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has admitting his side were beaten by the best team in the country following a 1-0 loss to Rangers International on Sunday.
It was an opportunity for Rangers to avenge their only loss in the Nigeria Professional Football League this season.
A first-half goal by Ivorian striker Seka Pascal proved to be the difference between the two Group A front runners on Sunday in Enugu.
“We came to play with the best team in Nigeria, a team with the best players in the league and a team with the best coach in Nigeria. What did you expect?” queried MFM coach Ilechukwu after the game.
Rangers remain top of Group A with 31 points, seven clear of third-placed MFM FC.
On Wednesday, they will be guests of relegation-troubled Bendel Insurance in a rescheduled game, before they tackle Enyimba in Aba at the weekend.
