Asante Kotoko have been handed a squad boost ahead of their clash against Bechem United with striker Sogne Yacouba returning to action this week.
The 27-year-old has been out of action for over a month but has finally received the medical green light.
“Yacouba Songne has been finally declared fit by the medical team of Asante Kotoko SC and he is available for selection if he fits into the coach’s tactics,” Kotoko spokesperson Sarfo Duku told Nhyira FM.
”Management expects him to start training today.”
Head Coach C.K Akonnor will make his decision on the Burkinabe import after watching how he fares in training between now and the weekend.
But it is reasonable to assume that he will form part of the squad that will host the Hunters at the Babayara Stadium on Sunday.
Depending on how the final pans out, he could make an appearance late in the game if the coach sees fit.
