Berekum Chief Executive slaps his goalkeeper for betting suspicions

The Chief Executive Officer of Berekum Chelsea Nana Kwame Nketiah has admitted to slapping Gideon Ahenkorah.

Chelsea's Nketiah told local media that he took the action due to his strong suspicions that the goalkeeper conceded dubious goals for the benefit of alleged bets.

''I am trying my best to be a good Christian, so betting is something I heavily frown on,'' said Nketiah via Ghana Soccer Net after the 3-1 loss to Bechem United last week.

''I slapped Gideon Ahenkorah twice over suspected betting.

“I understand he is the person leading a group of my players alleged to be involved in betting,' he added. The CEO did, however, rue the violence, adding that he was provoked by the supporters’ reactions.

''After I slapped him, I regretted my action, because I did it following agitation from the fans,” concluded the CEO Nketiah.
