ZSL Review: Eagles seal Continental qualification as Warriors temporarily lead stream A

Green Eagles have secured qualification for Continental football following a 2-0 win over Lumwana Radiants to open a six point lead in steam B while Kabwe Warriors have temporarily gone on top of Stream A following a barren draw with town rivals Prison Leopards.

Eagles continued their dominance in Stream B and opened a six point lead at the summit following a two nil win over Lumwana Radiants. Warren Kunda and Kennedy Musonda scored a goal each to secure maximum points for Eagles . The Choma side will just have to wait to see if they will play Confederation Cup or Champions League and provided Buildcon drop points tomorrow, Eagles will automatic qualify for Champions league football.

In Kitwe , Power dynamos gave away a two nil lead to draw with Forest Rangers. First half goals from Davy Daka and Linos Makwaza Jnr gave the Ndeke based club an early two nil lead. Forest Rangers came from the break a different side and dominated the match, Austin Muwowo and Zikiru Adams scored to make sure the two sides share spoils.

At Edwin Imboela, Nkwazi came from a goal down twice to draw the match 2-2 with relegation bound Circuit City. Dominic Chanda put Circuit in the lead before Morgan Kanjolo could draw level.

Zambia U23 national team striker Biston Banda scored his seventh goal of the season to put Circuit back in the lead . The Wild Cat boys looked to be heading to victory but Emmanuel Chabula leveled matters in the dying minutes to level matters.

In Mazabuka, Napsa Stars were held to a goalless draw by relegated Maestro United Zambia.

In Kabwe, Unbeaten Warriors maintained their hunt for Continental football and an invisible season as they recorded their tenth draw of the season.

Jack Chirwa scored a beautiful free kick in the dying minutes to secure maximum points for the soldiers who beat Kitwe United 2-1 to finally survive relegation.

Impressive Red Arrows continued their good run and whitewashed Nakambala Leopards 3-0 thanks to a brace from Saddam Youssuf Phiri and a goal from captain Bruce Musakanya.
