ZSL Preview: Zesco out to open two point lead
Zesco United will be aiming to open a two point lead at the summit of Stream A when they travel to Lusaka to face Lusaka dynamos this afternoon. Zesco dropped to second place yesterday following Kabwe Warriors barren draw with Prison Leopards.
The Ndola giants will move back to the top with a win opening a two point lead to put them back in pole position to win Stream A and qualify for Continental football and ABSA Cup.
Lusaka dynamos on the other hand are desperate to pickmaximum points as anything less will all but eliminate them from the race for Continental football, Something they will try to avoid by all means.
A win for Lusaka dynamos will further bring more competition in a Stream that is already competitive as it will mean five teams will be battling for Continental football on the final day. A win for Lusaka dynamos will mean Kabwe Warriors will only need a win against Red Arrows to seal Champions League football qualification as they will remain top of Stream A heading into the last round of matches.
Lazarus Kambole is expected to lead the Zesco United attack with Jesse Jackson Were and John Ching'andu in support while Marvin Jere and Petrus Tshitembi will be the key players in the middle of the park for Lusaka dynamos.
