FC IfeanyiUbah secured a vital 1-0 away victory against El Kanemi on Monday to brighten their hope of making it to the Nigeria Professional Football League playoff.
Following their latest victory, FC IfeanyiUbah now only need to win their final game at home against already-qualified Akwa United on Sunday to qualify for the NPFL championship playoffs.
After the MatchDay 21 encounter, the Anambra Warriors have now leapfrogged El Kanemi into third place in Group B with 33 points, while their closest rivals dropped to fourth on 30 points.
Kano Pillars booked their place in the NPFL Super 6, which will produce the league champions and runners-up to represent Nigeria at next year’s CAF Champions League, after a 3-0 spanking of Delta Force.
