Julian Brandt has joined Borrusia Dortmund from Bayer Leverkusen for a reported fee of £22million.
Brandt becomes Dortmund’s second signing following the arrival of Thorgan Hazard who signed for the Bundesliga side on Wednesday with the 23-year-old signing a five-year contract at Signal Iduna Park. The Germany side seems keen to do an early reinforcement after they sold Christian Pulisic to Chelsea in January.
"I am a person who sometimes decides things from the gut and for whom a good feeling is important,” he told the club’s official website.
"In the case of Borussia Dortmund, I have a very good feeling. One of the main reasons for my change is that BVB narrowly missed the title last season, so there is room for improvement and I am very excited about the boys.
"I am very motivated and optimistic about my personal development but especially the whole team."
The Germany international has signed a contract until 30 June 2024 with the Black & Yellows.
