After guiding the club to their second UEFA Europa League title, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has revealed that he will speak to the board about his future.
Chelsea produced a masterclass performance in the final thumping Arsenal 4-1, courtesy of goals from Olivier Giroud, Pedro Rodriguez and a brace from Eden Hazard while Alex Iwobi scored the consolation goal for Arsenal. There have been rumors linking Sarri to the vacant managerial job at Juventus after the departure of Massimiliano Allegri while his future at the club had been put in doubt after poor performances in January and February.
Speaking in a press conference after securing the Europa League, Sarri revealed that he will speak to the club about his future, "I need to talk to the club and make sure I know what I can do for Chelsea and what Chelsea can do for me," said Sarri, who took charge last July. I love the Premier League and I'm lucky I'm at Chelsea but at the end of each season you have to sit down and talk. In my opinion, I deserve to stay at Chelsea but my opinion is not enough."
