Reports: Bale no longer a target for Man Utd

13 Jun 2019, 14:45

Gareth Bale is no longer a transfer target for Manchester United despite being linked with a move to Old Trafford, Sky Sports reports.

The 29-year-old has remained on United's radar for some years now but the signing of Swansea's Daniel James shows a change of strategy from Ole Gunnar Soslkajer's camp.

Another stumbling block to Bale's signing has been his huge salary demands, the Welshman earns a reported £500,000 a week at Real Madrid and United are not willing to offer the same considering his age.

Bale's future at Real remains uncertain under Zinedine Zidane and reports last week said the club were trying to force him out to cut on their losses.
