Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have been drawn against DRC Congo giants Motema Pembe in the 2019 CECAFA Kagame Cup; the competition slated for Rwanda from July 6-21.


Apart from Pembe, the Hassan Oktay coached charges who finds themselves in Group D has Zanzibar’s Kikosi Maalum cha Kuzuia Magendo Football Club (KMKM) FC and Djibouti’s AS Ports to contend with in the group.

In other groups, Rwanda’s Rayon Sports leads Group and will have to go past invited TP Mazembe, South Sudan’s Atlabara and Tanzania’s KMC.

Another Kenyan Premier League representative in Bandari FC are in Group B together with defending champions Azam FC of Tanzania, Rwanda’s Mukura Victory Sports and Uganda giants KCCA FC.

Group B: Azam FC (Tanzania), Mukura Victory Sports (Rwanda), Bandari Football Club (Kenya), KCCA FC (Uganda).

Group C: APR FC (Rwanda), Green Buffaloes (Zambia), Proline Football Club – PFC (Uganda), Heegan FC (Somalia)

Group D: Gormahia (Kenya), DCMP (DRC), KMKM (Zanzibar), AS PORTS FC (Djibouti)
