Kaizer Chiefs players are back at Naturena for the 2019/20 Absa Premiership season preparations.
Chiefs have a massive season ahead of them in terms of showing themselves to be the giants of South African football after four trophyless seasons.
Ernst’s Middendorp’s side will also, for the first time in the club’s history, miss out on playing in the top eight tournament.
“Kaizer Chiefs’ senior team will be returning to training on Wednesday, 26 June to commence with their preparation for the 2019/20 PSL season,” the club said in a statement on their website.
“The journey to prepare for the upcoming season will start in earnest in the absence of some of the international players…”
“Amakhosi will hold testing and training session at home before heading for camp. As part of the camp, the team will embark on a few training matches with local and international teams,” added the club.
Chiefs biggest preseason game will be in the Carling Black Label Cup against Orlando Pirates on 27 July at FNB.
