NPFL: Plateau United embark on six weeks break
Following an struggling season which saw them battling relegation from most part of the outgone season, Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Plateau United have embark on a six-week recess with immediate effect.
This was part of the decisions reached between management and technical crew during a meeting held at the club office in Jos.
Addressing the technical crew and other management of the NPFL side General Manager Pius Henwan appreciated their efforts despite the ups and downs of the outgone season.
While admonishing them to put the past behind them in order to forge ahead, Henwan directed the coaching crew to start preparing for the new season by coming up with a comprehensive program that will see Plateau United competing for the title next season.
Technical Adviser of the team, Abdu Maikaba thanked management of the club for the support, understanding and cooperation in the outgone season and assured of a better campaign next season.
Maikaba explained that the technical crew is putting it's heads together to come out with a detailed plan for next season.
Technical Director of the club, Ahmed Ibrahim popularly known as Coach Bros, assured management of a better campaign next season and solicited for the cooperation of all to enable the team realize its sets targets.
It would be recalled that Plateau United battle relegation for better part of the 2018/19 abridge NPFL season as they escaped relegation on the last day and were eliminated in the round of 16 of the Aiteo cup by Calabar Rovers.
