Cameroon head coach Clarence Seedorf has insisted Andre Ayew's injury will not make them lose focus when the defending Champions meet Ghana in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The two sides will lock horns in an all-favourites clash on Sunday, with Cameroon seeking a victory that will see them into the next round of the competition.
Seedorf, however, feels Ayew's absence might complicate the match, adding that the Black Stars are collectively a dangerous side.
“Andre Ayew us an important player for Ghana but if he doesn’t play, that will not make lose focus," he said as quoted by CAF online
“We’re keen on qualifying to the next stage by topping the group because it feels good to be top,” he added.
Ayew sustained an injury in the opening match against Benin and has missed training for two days as he recovers.
The skipper had a decent match against their fellow West African side and scored the equalizing goal having fallen behind in the early minutes of the match.
Cameroon's skipper Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will also be assessed before the clash on Sunday, having sustained a knock in the opening fixture.
