Zesco United beat Green Eagles 3-1 on post-match penalties to the 2019 MTN/FAZ Super League.
The Ndola giants came into the match in search of a third straight title in three years while the Choma based side came into the match looking to make history and win their maiden Super League title.
The match was a cagey affair with little chances created in the first half. Eagles looked the sharper side of the two with Spencer Sautu, George Chaloba and Amity Shamende combining well but still failed to make clear cut chances.
Zesco United lacked steam upfront with the departure of star forward Lazarus Kambole starting to be felt on the first day without his services.
In the second Stanza, Amity Shamende scored for Eagles but the goal was ruled out for offside. The two teams failed to find the back of the net in regulation time sending the match to penalties.
Eagles missed all their first three spot-kicks taken by Gift Wamundila, Tapson Kaseba, and Sam Chilupe. Marcel Kalonda missed for Zesco United while Clement Mwape, Mwila Phiri and Jacob Banda scored to win the match for Team Ya Ziko.
