Tanzanian Striker Eleuter Herman Mpepo scored a first-half hat-trick to help Buildcon to a 3-1 win over Ten men Zanaco in a third and fourth playoff played at Woodlands Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Buildcon started strong and took the lead after just three minutes, Mpempo finishing off a Lameck Silwaba pass to put Team Kopala in the lead.
Mpepo added a second in the 26th minute scoring a beautiful strike from the edge of the box. The Tanzanian was on song and completed his hat-trick two minutes later.
In the second stanza, Zanaco came back a better side. Tafadzwa Rusike and Chitiya Mususu combining well. Twenty Minutes into the second half Chitiya Mususu pulled one back.
Zanaco were forced to finish the match with a man down after Rusike was sent off for a second bookable offense. Buildcon held on to win the match 3-1 and finish third on the log.
