Sharks Abege officially unveiled at Kotoko

Ugandan striker George Abege has officially been unveiled as Asante Kotoko player this after joining the Ghanaian giants from Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks.

The deal to have Abege don the Kotoko jersey is said to have earned Sharks an amount around Ksh 2M with the player rearing to go after receiving his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

Having arrived in Kumasi on Saturday 13 July, Abege was first taken around the team’s Adako Jachie training base.


The tall forward is expected to strengthen the attack of the Porcupine warriors ahead of their participation in next season’s CAF Champions League.

The player has been included in Asante Kotoko’s registered players for next season’s continental championship and joins nine other newly signed players by the club for the upcoming season.
