News spreading around the continent says that Cameroon have given Clarence Seedorf his marching orders.
Seedorf joined the Indomitable Lions last year before leading the side to AFCON 2019. The former Netherlands international led Cameroon to a second-place finish in Group H, before the last 16 elimination in a 3-2 loss to Nigeria.
Cameroon are no strangers to pulling the trigger as Seedorf becomes the fifth coach to vacate the position after an unsucceful run at AFCON.
“We thank Seedorf and his assistant Kluivert but we do not consider them as technically genius coaches who can take us to the promise land in the near future so we have terminated his contract,” Cameroon Sports Minister Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi told CRTV.
