Herrera makes PSG debut

Spain midfielder Ander Herrera made his Paris Saint-Germain debut on Tuesday night following his move from Manchester United.

The Ligue 1 champions began their pre-season with a 6-1 victory over Dynamo Dresden with Herrera who made the switch to France on a free transfer earlier this month being substituted in the second half.

Another player who made his debut for the club is Pablo Sarabia who was roped for £16million from Sevilla this summer.

The show though was left for 20-year old Kylian Mbappe as the forward scored a brace in the first half at the DDV-Stadion.

Mbappe opened the scoring inside six minutes with a chip and supplied the assist for Julian Draxler to score a second. The World Cup winner made it 3-0 before half-time.

Arthur Zagre, Virgiliu Postolachi and Adil Aouchiche all got on the scoresheet in the second period before Moussa Kone scored a consolation goal in the 76th minute.

After the match, PSG boss Thomas Tuchel revealed he knew Neymar wanted to leave the club before the Copa America, but admits he is 'calm' over the Barcelona target's future.

The Brazil star finally reported back to PSG on Monday after controversially failing to show up for pre-season on time last week.
