Orlando Pirates’ and Mzansi’s man of the moment Thembinkosi Lorch has given insight into his thought process second before his wonder strike against Kaizer Chiefs.
Lorch captured the imagination of Pirates fans in Soweto last weekend after smashing in a lovely curler passed Bruce Bvuma to give Bucs a 2-0 win.
In what was his first game since his now iconic goal against Egypt, Lorch made himself the most admired player in the country this weekend with the 29-minute goal at FNB on Saturday.
"I want to thank God for the talent he gave me and I promise to honour it," Lorch told Supersport TV after the game.
"When I received the ball, I could see the goalkeeper was off his line and I knew where I should put it."

"I was away with Bafana, I had a good camp with them. Even the team here they were doing well so I just had to come back and add to what they were doing."
The 25-year-old former Maluti College, Cape Town All Stars and Chippa United forward did not conclude the chat without promising Pirates fans some title success in the coming new season.
"I want to promise them that we will win trophies for them. They must keep on coming to the stadium to support us. We appreciate them,” concluded Lorch.
