Today, one of Nigeria's favourite sons turns 43 and what better day to have a walk down memory lane to relive some of his achievements and finest moments.
Nwankwo Kanu won pretty much everything there is to win in football. Most of his best days came in an Arsenal jersey where he was part of the infamous "Invincibles" team that went an entire Premier League season unbeaten.

The languid striker is one of the most decorated players in the history of African football after enjoying a career at some of Europe's biggest elite clubs. Kanu's best moment in an Arsenal shirt 🔴
The date was 23 October 1999 and Arsenal trailed 2-0 away to London rivals Chelsea on a waterlogged pitch. With 15 minutes left in the contest, up stepped Nwankwo Kanu to score a miraculous hat trick that gave Arsenal an improbable win, snatching it from the jaws of defeat. Commentator Martin Tyler was as astonished as the watching world shouting "CAN YOU BELIEVE IT" when Kanu curled home the winner from a ridiculous angle beyond a stranded Ed de Goey and three helpless Chelsea defenders on the line.
Happy birthday Nwankwo Kanu, an African legend!
