Eintracht Frankfurt manager reveals reason for unsuccessful signing of KP Boateng

Eintracht Frankfurt manager Adi Hütter has revealed the reason the club was unsuccessful in with the signing of Kevin-Prince Boateng in this summer transfer window.

According to reports via FootballGhana, Eintracht Frankfurt were interested in resigning Boateng ahead of the new season.

The 32-year-old initially joined Sassuolo in the summer of 2018 on a two-year contract from the Bundesliga club after inspiring them to win the Pokal Cup.

However, the Ghana international has now completed the much-anticipated move to Fiorentina from Sassuolo on Wednesday, July 31.

Speaking to the press, Frankfurt manager Hütter told that the club had done everything they could to bring the former AC Milan player to Germany but the deal fell through due to the reason that Boateng wanted to remain close to his family.

"I've spoken to him but unfortunately it's broken up," he told the press.

"Because of his family, Kevin has decided that he wants to stay in Italy," he added.

Boateng has penned a two-year deal with Fiorentina and he is expected to bring on a wealth of experience as the club goes on to achieve their goals.
