After being incessantly linked with a return to Barcelona in the summer transfer window, Ernesto Valverde has provided a transfer update on Neymar.
Neymar moved to PSG in 2017 for a whopping world-record fee of £200m, but two years of Champions League failure has left the Brazilian feeling a little disgruntled. The Brazilian was omitted from the squad that faced Nimes in the opening game of the season with reports suggesting that he has been frozen out of the first-team squad.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of the Athletic Bilbao clash, Valverde provided a transfer update on Neymar, "Now we have two weeks until the transfer window shuts and you can't breathe easily until then. I'm very happy with the squad I have at the moment but I don't know what will happen next.
"I am far removed from transfers and I'm focusing on the players I have for our first game. Neymar belongs to PSG and we'll see what happens but I can't say anything more about him."
