Celtic inquire about Bournemouth's Jordon Ibe

Scottish champions Celtic have reportedly expressed their interest in signing winger Jordon Ibe as he looks set for a Bournemouth exit.

Scottish Sun reported that the Bournemouth winger is a highly-target signing target for Celtic manager Neil Lennon and is said to be doing everything he can to get Ibe.

However, the deal that is likely to happen will be a season-long deal instead of a buy-out option - meaning he will still be on the books of the Cherries.

Ibe joined Bournemouth back in 2016 from Liverpool but he struggled to gain regular first-team football opportunities.

The 23-year-old only managed nine Premier League matches during the 2018/19 season and scored one goal.

Ibe who is of Nigerian descent through his father was eligible to play for Nigeria but he turned down the latter's Football Federation and pledged his allegiance to England.
