Miguel Azeez set to sign long-term contract with Arsenal

Teenage sensation Miguel Azeez of Nigerian descent is in contention to sign a new long-term contract with Arsenal according to All Nigeria Soccer.

Azeez will reportedly be one of the first academy players to be given a new professional contract by Arsenal when he turns 17 in a few weeks.

The rising youngster at the Gunners' Academy is believed to have agreed on a three-year contract which is set to be activated as of September 20, 2019.

The Gunners have an option to extend Azeez's contract by a further two years before the end of the 2021/22 season.

The 16-year-old made his competitive debut for Arsenal U18s in the U18 Premier League at the age of fifteen while still a schoolboy and made his unofficial debut for the U23 team in a pre-season friendly against Boreham Wood last month.
