Former Forest Rangers striker Austin Muwowo was on Saturday, Evening crowned as the 2019 Zambia transitional Super League player of the year at an awards gala held at Radison Blu Hotel.
Muwowo came out tops in a tough category that saw him come up against former Zesco United talisman Lazarus Kambole and Red Arrows captain Bruce Musakanya. Muwowo was also named in the team of the year and won a golden boot for his goalscoring prowess, Joint with Laudit Mavugo and Zikiru Adams.
Lazarus Kambole was another big winner walking away with the fans player of the year award, The most disciplined player and was also named in the team of the year.
Aggrey Chiyangi defended his coach of the year crown while Klings Kangwa won young player of the year.
