Olivier Giroud is beaming with confidence ahead of Chelsea's match against Leicester on Sunday evening at the Stamford Bridge.
The Frenchman was in the starting lineup in the Uefa Super Cup on Wednesday, and he repaid coach Lampard's trust with a well-taken goal.
The former Arsenal man will be key once again against the Foxes at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, as the Blues try to recover from opening day's 4-0 loss to Manchester United at the Old Trafford.
Speaking ahead of the match, Giroud further hailed Lampard's effect at the club, saying he has been managing different situations well.
"He always tries to be very positive,’ he said of the boss. He won’t be too tough with us when we are not doing too well, but he also won’t put us ‘over the moon’ when we are playing well," he said ass quoted by the club's website.
"‘So I have no worries and I think we have a superb mentality. We are all pointing in the same direction, with the same targets and I’m pretty sure we can do good things and challenge for trophies,"
"I feel very good at Chelsea and I have high expectations for this season because we have a very talented squad,"
Leicester beat the Blues 1-0 at Stamford Bridge last season, and Lampard's charges will be ready to avenge the loss.
The club has been boosted by the return of Rudiger and Willian, whom Lampard revealed might be in contention for the tie.
