Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina has garnered plentiful attention from several Premier League clubs and now RMC France understands that he is in advanced talks with Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.
The French publication believes that Lemina who is no longer first choice at Southampton has agreed on personal terms and has been gunning for the deal to materialise.
The Gabon international joined the Saints back in 2017 from Juventus in a deal that was in the region of £18.1million where he penned a five-year deal according to BBC Sport.
However, Lemina only managed to make 18 starts during the 2018/19 season and approximately 23 appearances across all competitions as revealed by Transfermarkt.
Wolverhampton Wanderers were reportedly keen on signing the 25-year-old (Daily Mail) alongside Everton (Sky Sports), Arsenal and Manchester United (Telegraph) during the summer transfer window hype but no deal proved fruitful.
