Inter Milan summer signing Romelu Lukaku has torn into Manchester United fans claiming that they scapegoated him alongside Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba when things were not going right.
Lukaku became the most expensive Inter Milan signing when he joined in the English transfer deadline day for £74m on a five-year deal. He was subject to a lot of criticism about his weight and lack of consistency and was sideline by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his first few weeks at the club.
In an interview with LightHarted Podcast, Lukaku claimed that United fans always found a reason to blame him, Pogba and Sanchez, "They have to find somebody. It is Pogba, it is me or it is Alexis. It's the three of us all the time. For me, I just see it in many ways."
The Belgian also disagreed with the notion that he didn't fit in with Solskjaer's high-intensity system, "A lot of people don't think I should be part of that system," Lukaku added. "That's my feeling from the conversations that I have, I just know.
"For me, the thing that makes me laugh a lot is... how the hell is s*** going bad in my team, but when I play in my national team, it's good? And I'm happy."
