Portugal based Zambia U23 national team winger Kenneth Kalunga will miss the U23 national team back to back AFCON qualifiers against Congo Brazzaville due to injury.
Kalunga who is on the books of Sport Benfica Castelo Branco has been ruled out of action for 3 weeks due to an ankle injury which he sustained during a training session on Friday.
Kalunga confirmed the news to Futaa Zambia in an exclusive interview.
"Yes I got injured in training on Friday and I will be out for three weeks. I’ve been ruled out of the Brazzaville games. I was really looking forward to it but am confident I will back stronger," he said.
Zambia hosts Congo on September 4 before trekking away to Pointe Noire for the final leg on September 8. The winner over two legs will qualify to the 2019 Egypt Africa Cup of Nations that will be staged in November.
