Ivory Coast international Vakoun Bayo has expressed his gratitude to manager Neil Lennon for undying support after he scored a brace on his return to the Celtic starting lineup.
Bayo was signed to Celtic in January 2019 but endured a hamstring injury upon Lennon taking over the reins in February.
According to Sky Sports, the 22-year-old was awarded his full debut on Sunday against Hearts in Celtic's 3-1 victory - this came after he had been a late substitute in three games.
"I should have scored three and the manager told me that as well," Bayo said.
"He's been great with me since I arrived and he speaks to me and encourages me all the time.
"I have benefited by the encouragement and it has paid off with me scoring."
The rising star previously plied his trade for Slovakian outfit Dunajska Streda before being signed by the Scottish club.
