Rwanda U15 team is ready to take on their counterparts from Kenya in the semi-final of the CECAFA U15 Tournament on Wednesday.
The Junior Wasps lost to Uganda 3-0 in the final Group B match played on Sunday at Asmara stadium in Eritrea to finish the group as runners up; an outing that landed them a date with Kenya who had topped Group A.
A brace from Kyeyune Abasi and Ouke Patrick earned the Ugandan side maximum points to cement their top place finish of Group B with 12 points; The Rwandese accumulating nine points having won three matches and lost one.
In another semifinal, Uganda will be up against Burundi who finished second of the group in the second semi-final match of the day.
The winners will proceed to the final slated for Friday 30 August which will be graced by the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad.
The Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup, the first of its kind in Africa has been funded by FIFA. The tournament has attracted hosts Eritrea, Burundi, Kenya, Sudan, Somalia, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Tanzania.
