Nigerian defender Leon Balogun has returned to competitive action for his club Brighton & Hove Albion after a long absence.
Balogun played for all 90 minutes in Bighton's 2-1 away victory over Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old has only made eight English Premier League appearances since joining Brighton in 2018.
But manager Graham Potter decided to hand his Nigerian center half 90 minutes of action on Tuesday, in the second round EFL Cup tie against the League One side.
Tuesday’s win helped the team reach the third round of the competition with goals from Aaron Connolly (55′) and Glenn Murray (90+2′), in either side of Bristol Tom Nichols (64′).
