🇿🇼 🏃🏿‍♂️Zimbabwean teen Rushesha makes Swansea debut

Zimbabwe’s Tivonge Rushesha made special history after marking his senior debut for Swansea City on Wednesday night.

The English Championship club gave the 17-year-old right-back a substitute appearance in last night’s Carabao Cup against lower-division Cambridge United.

With the score at 5-0 on 76 minutes, Swansea coach Steve Cooper took the moment to make Rushesha’s senior team dream come true.

“What a moment for the 17-year-old! 🙌,” posted the club on their Twitter.

The Welsh-raised teenager made his U23’s debut in February 2019, while he also has a couple of Wales U-17 international caps. Having yet to play for Wales’ senior national team, Rushesha remains eligible to play for Zimbabwe.
