Uganda is the 2019 CECAFA U15 Tournament champions after overcoming Kenya 4-0 in the final game hosted at the Asmara Stadium, Eritrea on Friday 30 August.
Kenya had come into the game on a back of an impressive record having not lost any game but goals from Ogwal Davis, Travis Mutyaba and a second-half brace from Kyeyune Abbas ensured that the Sagar Lakhani picked silver medal from the competition.
Kenya began the competition with a 3-1 win over Somalia before dismantling Sudan 4-0 in their second game. A draw against Burundi was their only blemish in the group stage where they wrapped up proceedings with a 2-1 win over hosts Eritrea.
A tie against Rwanda in the semi-finals ensued and despite being a man down, they managed to force the game into penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular time; a game they were to win on penalties.
