Enyimba were forced to a goalless draw by Al-Hilal in the first-leg first round encounter of the CAF Champions League on Sunday.
Enyimba had the one-man advantage after Nazar Named Nassr was shown a red card for violent conduct in the 20th minute, but the People's Elephant wasted their chances.
Despite the result, defender Stanley Okorom is not writing off his team from advancing to the next round.
“Actually they have to worry you know when you don’t come out victorious, everybody wants to win, everybody wants a good result from us but unfortunately we didn’t get what we were looking for but we thank God that it’s a goalless draw.
“So the match is still fresh. We’re going to Sudan and we believe in God that we’re going to come out victorious.”
Enyimba must now avoid defeat in the return leg in Sudan to qualify for the next round.
